By registering for a workshop, you agree to the following terms and conditions

SmugMug, Inc. is responsible for all sales of photographic products through this website, and any matters related thereto. By your use of this web site, you agree that the Satish Byali Photography (a subsidiary of Kaizen PLLC) has no responsibility, nor is liable for the actions of SmugMug, Inc. and the matters within SmugMug Inc.’s control, including without limitation, the printing and delivery of any photographic products, the collection of private information, and credit card transactions.

You agree to indemnify and hold Satish Byali (a subsidiary of Kaizen PLLC) harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, expenses, including attorney’s fees, arising from your breach of these Terms of Use. This obligation will survive the termination of this web site.

SmugMug unconditionally guarantees your satisfaction with any Products that you purchase through the Services. If you are unsatisfied with any Photos, Videos or other Products you have purchased from SmugMug, they will gladly accept the return of any Product you have ordered for any reason within thirty (30) days of your receipt of the Product. To request a refund or replacement for any Product, please contact SmugMug via email.

All photographs on this website can be licensed for your editorial or commercial applications, and can be delivered immediately via email/ftp download. The fees for a specific project are based on the use of the photographs. Photographs are the intellectual property of Satish Byali Photography.

Terms and conditions of the contract can be tailored to meet your specific needs, i.e. length of use, type of use, etc. Please contact us by email.

- Anyone with a basic understanding of digital photography. 

- People interested in learning more about night photography

- Previous experience with night photography is NOT required.

- While previous experience with Photoshop isn't required, some students find it helpful to go into the workshop with some basic Photoshop skills - specifically with layers and masks as post processing of the photographs will be done in Photoshop. 

- You must be 18 years or older to participate.

- You should accept General Consent Form (sent after registration)

- You are responsible for your personal needs.

We try to keep the workshops at     easy to moderate so that anyone can attend them. As you can expect there will be some level of hiking while exploring photography locations. Please make sure to wear hiking shoes, carry snacks and water. We have had nearly all fitness level photographers attend the workshops and they have done just fine, so will you!

Yes! You can bring your friend or spouse, as long as they will not bring their camera with them and will not participate in any learning sessions. If they intend to bring the camera to the shooting sessions, they will have to pay for the workshop in full.

You can pay by Paypal, Cashiers Check, Money Order or Cash. Space is limited and accommodations will be assigned on a first come first serve basis. We encourage early registration in order to confirm your place and obtain the level of accommodations you seek.

While we will make every attempt to conduct the workshop once confirmed, we do reserve the right to cancel or change a trip, at any time due to insufficient bookings and/or reasons beyond our control that might create unsafe or undesirable travel conditions for the participants.

No refunds will be given for delays or cancellations due to inclement weather, flights, or other events beyond our control, either before, during, or after your workshop.

Cancellation requests from students must be made in writing - via mail or email.

- Students will have an option to get money back less 10% or get full credit on future events when the requests are made more than 30 days in advance.

- There will not be any refund on the cancellations within 30 days but students may reschedule with 50% credit for next event.

- You can reschedule for a future workshop due to weather conditions but no refund will be made.

In cases where a credit is issued, students are encouraged to use it within a 12 months period. If a student has not used his/her credit within 12 months, it will no longer be available to use towards a workshop event.

Dates and locations are carefully selected to work with the Moon Phases. In order for night photography to be successful, It is required to have ideal conditions: either clear or partly cloudy skies.

It is best to shoot on clear nights, but light cloud cover can add a very interesting effect in your images. If the forecast calls for rain we will have to reschedule or cancel if it poses any risk to the team. Even if there is partial cloud cover, we promise you that you will still take home some great shots and the knowledge on how to greatly capture the night sky on any given night.

In unforeseen changes in weather conditions, all efforts will be made to make the most of whatever conditions available.

I strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to protect yourself against unforeseen circumstances that might prevent your attendance. We suggest a plan that offers coverage for medical/dental emergencies, lost baggage, missed connections, and trip cancellation, should you unexpectedly need to cancel. Satish Byali or  the company is not responsible for cancellations due to medical emergencies or reimbursement of airline tickets in the event of a workshop cancellation. 

A consent waiver form will be emailed to you prior to the workshop. Participants are required to print, sign and email a copy to photography@satishbyali.com and bring another copy with them to the workshop.
